Howlin' Wolf started his musical career rather late, at the age of 40, after serving in the US Army, working agricultural fields and a few jobs around the music radio world. a few years after launching his career, Howlin' Wolf already became a well known figure in the Chicago music scene. A self-titled 1962 album is considered one of the most famous and influential blues records of all time, with PJ Harvey, Tom Waits and many others recording versions of songs off it. |
