Coming to you from Brooklyn, Gang Starr are a hip hop duo, one of the most influential and certainly long lasting, composed of MC Guru and DJ Premier. In 1987, with the rise of alternative hip hop and the Brooklyn music scene, so did Gang Starr come on the scene. By the late 90s, the hip hop duo would have left its mark on jazz-rap and other hip hop styles, and continue to do so into the 21st century as well. |
